UCSF Policy Updates

Updates enhance UCSF’s ability to meet evolving regulatory requirements, promote ethical research practices, and safeguard institutional and investigator compliance with federal laws and standards.

Establishes requirements and protocols for UCSF and its employees to follow during the acceptance, management, and disposition of equity in start-up companies. 

Updates reflect UCOP Delegation of Authority limit, payroll delivery via UC Path, and new website for Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs.

Requirements delineated identify and manage or eliminate conflicts of interest to promote objectivity in research design, conduct, and reporting.  

UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences manages departmental key control in accordance with the Behavioral Health MOU.

Reference to mini-fitness facilities was removed, and age of eligible senior citizen changed to "65+" years or over.

As of July 1, 2024, all STIP earnings, both positive and negative, generated by fund balances held by campus administrative and auxiliary units will now flow to the Core Financial Plan. No changes to STIP distribution practices for the schools and IGHS.

The definition of "Documents & Media" and link to Campus Life Services were updated.
