Emergency Management (new)

As of September 16, 2013: This policy delineates campus, departmental, student, staff, and faculty responsibilities to ensure emergency preparedness and responsiveness.

Tobacco-Free at Work (new)

As of August 23, 2013: The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) has adopted a tobacco-free at work policy in order to minimize health risk to patients and employees, improve the quality of air, and enhance the environment on Campus and Medical Center locations as well as the surrounding community. This policy is effective September 3, 2013.

Cashiering (revised)

As of July 1, 2013: The policy is updated to: clarify background check record of confirmation for individuals who handle cash and ensure that UCSF’s internal policy and procedures for the campus and Medical Center as well as UCOP are consistent and align with UCOP PPSM 21E and BUS -49. The revision is due to the implementation of the HR Service Centers and shifts responsibility for maintaining proof of completion of background checks from the department to the appropriate HR Service Center.

Space Governance and Principles

As of January 24, 2013: The mission of UCSF is to advance health worldwide through excellence in Education, Research, and Patient Care. In order to achieve this mission at a time of shrinking resources and growing competition, it is essential that the faculty and leadership maximize the use of all available assets. One of the major assets at UCSF is space, both academic and clinical.
