The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) invites comments on Interim UCSF Administrative Policy 700-16 Student Hazing Prevention and Response that applies enterprise wide.
This policy includes:
- Compliance with the federal government Stop Campus Hazing Act, and the state government passed AB2193, an amendment to the education code with requirements for higher education institutions related to hazing.
- Provisions of compliance with key components of both laws that are not already addressed in other systemwide or UCSF policies.
- Definitions of hazing, students, and student organizations for the purpose of this policy, a prohibition on hazing, hazing reporting and investigation processes and responsibilities at UCSF, disciplinary actions for hazing violations, anti-hazing prevention and awareness programs, policy distribution, and posting.
