200-14 Property Loss/Damage and Bodily Injury

I. Purpose

This policy outlines the insurance options available to departments for losses or damages to property or individuals through UCSF's Property and General Liability Insurance Programs.


II. Definitions

Bodily injury: includes shock, mental anguish, disability, sickness or disease, or death caused by any of these conditions.

Personal injury: acts that cause injury to a person (e.g., bodily injury, false arrest, false imprisonment, wrongful prosecution, humiliation, discrimination, libel, slander, defamation of character, invasion of rights of privacy).

III. Policy

UCSF employees or members of the general public who wish to make a claim for property damage or bodily injury through the University Property and General Liability Insurance Programs should contact Business, Administrative, and Risk Management Services.
